About us
Hubban is a network of immigrant and refugee creatives in Istanbul—artists, musicians, filmmakers, performers, architects, and urban practitioners—who come together to build bridges between communities and the wider civic society. It is an initiative of Urban.koop, an Istanbul-based cooperative, linking community creativity with broader civic and cultural networks.
We believe that everyday spaces—cafés, restaurants, shops, community venues, or any public space—can become hubs of solidarity and cultural exchange. By activating these spaces with art, music, workshops, and collective gatherings, Hubban creates opportunities for connection, expression, and resilience.
Our work is based on participation and lived experience. We collaborate directly with communities, transforming isolation into interaction, and building networks of trust through creativity

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower artists by creating opportunities for collaboration and cultural exchange. We aim to transform spaces into platforms for creativity, fostering dialogue, inclusion, and connection between diverse communities. Through innovative projects, we highlight the stories of displaced and local artists, enriching the cultural landscape.

Our Vision
Our vision is to build a world where art bridges cultures, transforms urban spaces, and fosters understanding among diverse communities. We strive to create a lasting impact by making creativity an integral part of urban life, inspiring collaboration, and empowering artists to share their stories with the world.
